The Ask

Generate buzz and create assets for the Trollify by Good Luck Trolls campaign — celebrating diversity, expression, and individuality with drag superstar Symone.

The Insight

At the intersection of fashion, entertainment, and culture, NYLON was the ideal BDG site for creating a splash and announcing the Trollify by Good Luck Trolls partnership with Symone. NYLON’s bold tone and colorful aesthetic were also a perfect match for creating custom assets for Symone’s Good Luck Trolls doll and Forever 21 capsule collection.

The Solution

We produced a Y2K-inspired photo shoot featuring Symone and both her custom-designed Trolls doll and Forever 21 capsule collection. The looks were styled by celebrity stylist Law Roach. We interviewed Symone to discuss the collaboration, learn what the key messages of the campaign (diversity, expression, and individuality) meant to her, and understand the impact that Lucie’s Place is making in the lives of LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness in Arkansas.
