Editorial Organic Social Post Best Practices & Guidelines

-Organic placement launches on each handle/platform are limited to 1x Disney title launch per week (inclusive of all Disney properties - Disney, FX, Hulu, ABC, etc.)

-If the plan includes different organic post “types” on the same handle/platform, those posts must all launch on the same day

  • Ex. Bustle In-feed IG post & Bustle IG Story
  • Ex. Elite Daily In-feed IG post and Elite Daily IG Story
  • Caveat: We cannot post an IG in-feed post and an IG Reels post on the same handle on the same day, as these are both feed posts. For programs with custom video content (running in a Reels), the custom video Reels post should be the priority organic post and the trailer post should run on a different platform or dark only.

-If the plan includes multiple of the same organic post “types”, the assets featured in each post must be different

-Due to a recent update to Instagram, all videos published organically within in-feed content are automatically uploaded as Reels and therefore sound-remixing can not be turned off. In order to prevent Disney-supplied videos publishing as Reels, BDG needs to include 2 assets in a carousel post. The first can be the client-provided video trailer, and the second can be a client-provided static image such as a movie "poster" or cast image.
