His appointment is effective May 31, 2022, and he will report to Emma Rosenblum, Chief Content Officer, BDG.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Jon to BDG during such a pivotal time for the company,” said Rosenblum. “Throughout his career, Jon has combined a passion for journalism with smart editorial strategy. He has an impressive knowledge and love of culture, tech, and style, and experience in merging great content with business needs. “The brands under BDG’s Culture & Innovation portfolio are already so good at driving conversations and connecting deeply with audiences on tech, culture, entertainment, gaming, and beyond,” said Wilde. “There's so much opportunity at Inverse, Gawker, Input, Inverse, and Mic to go even bigger, even more ambitious, and even more innovative. I can't wait to work with their talented teams, and everyone else at BDG, to build something special."
