Toyota came to us with a challenge: awareness for the Grand Highlander was high, but many still mistook it for a Highlander trim rather than a distinct, elevated model. To reinforce the Grand Highlander’s unique identity—defined by its spaciousness, power, and style—we created custom storytelling across Scary Mommy and The Dad that embedded the vehicle into modern parenting moments. On Scary Mommy, we spotlighted a mom pulling off an epic kid’s birthday party with the help of the Grand Highlander’s ample cargo space, power outlets, and hands-free features. On The Dad, we flipped the “beat the traffic” stereotype, showing a laid-back dad embracing the journey thanks to the vehicle’s comfort-forward interior. In both stories, the Grand Highlander doesn’t just show up—it proves why it stands apart.
